Dear all Printmakers,
I hope this finds you well, inky creative and productive.
Welcome to Volume 3, comprising fifteen more presentations from the Impact Conference in Bristol 2023. These are reflective papers from a range of panels. Once again we hope you enjoy them and that they sustain you over the forthcoming months. Please also read the latest Issue 7, which includes open-access peer-reviewed academic publications and a series of short essays by recent alumni from the MA in Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking at UWE. And of course, many other fascinating articles from our Impact Journal Archive.
Here at the Centre for Print Research, we have been busy collaborating on an international Artist in Residence Programme and the CFPR Editions, where you can access artists' conversations, the development of the prints and editions, and a final artist booklet reflecting on each journey.
Following up on the recent Exploration of Colour exhibition and Colour in Art Seminar hosted at CFPR, UWE, on the 10th of April, we called for artists working in the field of colour and are currently working on editing these articles into a Special Issue. If you are interested in coordinating a specially themed issue, please get in contact.
We hope you approve of the format of the papers, designed with thumbnails along the side and an image gallery of a larger scale at the end. We always like to receive feedback and ideas for new articles, so please do get in touch at impact.journal@uwe.ac.uk ; we regularly share research updates and print activities and opportunities via Instagram for CFPR_Research and CFPR_Editions
Until the next issue
Best of wishes
Carinna Parraman (Editor and Chair of IMPACT)
